Teens At-Risk

Guiding Teens and Young Adults At-Risk

The decision to place a child in a therapeutic school or special treatment facility may be a parent’s most difficult life decision. We explore all viable opportunities to redirect families in crisis, guiding struggling teenagers to safe, healthy, promising educational and clinical alternatives.

If your family has been impacted by a child or young adult with significant emotional and behavioral conditions, you may be in a place of great fear and uncertainty. The decision to place your child in a therapeutic program may be the most critical decision in your life, but before you make that final choice, take time to thoroughly explore all possible options with a professional consultant. We work hand-in-hand with clinical professionals at mental health facilities, therapeutic boarding schools, wilderness programs, and residential treatment centers across the country. Working together, we’ll help you find the special program that will most effectively serve your child and family.

We specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who struggle with complex disorders and who engage in high-risk behaviors. These issues include:

  • Adoption/attachment
  • Eating disorders
  • Self harm/destructive behaviors
  • Substance use/abuse
  • “Failure to launch”
  • Mood disorders
  • Gender questioning and transitioning
  • Overwhelming anxiety and chronic depression
  • Oppositional behaviors, anger and aggression
  • Social anxiety

Our goal, ultimately, is to reunite families, and to prepare our clients for responsible, independent, mainstream living.
